After receiving one million plays on Spotify, Dracula released a celebratory video on TikTok with the caption “This is only the beginning.” In 2021, Dracula’s ‘Paparazzi’ entered Spotify’s Global Viral 50 chart and it reached the number four spot. This led Dracula to become the fourth-most followed Australian TikTok music artist of 2020, bested only by the likes of Sia, Iggy Azalea, and Mia Rodriguez. It was used in over 60,000 TikTok videos before the end of 2020. Dracula’s song gained viral popularity within a matter of months, acquiring six million views on YouTube, and 13 million plays on Spotify.
The cover was also released on Spotify in December of that same year.
Dracula first became famous in November 2020, with the release of a metal cover of Lady Gaga’s song ‘Paparazzi’ on TikTok. Samuel Wellings, also known as Kim Dracula, was born on November 23, 1997, in Hobart, Tasmania.
